284/365 - Cat sat on a mat
Well another photographic failure day today - I went out with Mark (Merc) early this morning to try and get some seasonal autumnal shots but it was wet and miserable and most of the trees are still green so we went for a fry up instead! Copped the cat with the Dirty Thirty this afternoon at f/2.0, 1/40th sec ISO400.

Sorry i missed today dave, i didnt get marc text until this morning, but sound like i didnt miss too much apart from putting on a pound or two with them fry up's. Catch you soon i hope

Er.....don't know about that! She was giving me the evil eye as I was teasing her with a straw!Excellent cat shot and obviously very relaxed model.

285/365 - Itchen Bridge night shot. I did the same bridge a few weeks ago as a sunset shot so thought I'd have a go at a night shot. The River Itchen was amazingly still tonight, which made for some good reflections
I shot this with my recent cheapo acquisition - a Nikkor 28-70mm f/3.5-4.6 which has a nine blade diaphragm to give lovely 18 point stars. I've been itching to give it a go!

I'm sort of glad my night went like it did Dave. I had exactly the same sort of shot planned. I left the house all prepared but forgot to bring any sort of memory card with me. It would have been another

I have a cracking one in the back garden. Managed to knock the main head off it a few weeks back and thought that would polish it off but it now has another at the top and several on the way up.
I really hope I can get some seeds off it before the frost kills it.
I think the flowers are as confused with the weather as we are!

I do like them - this is one of two in front of the house - the do make me feel all summery even though it's chilly here.
Didn't know you can get autumn ones! The blue sky is actually more a purple as this was taken at twilight by flash!They might be autumn ones, i had some before they was killed
Any i have had this year have been pants, last year they got to just over 9ft!
Lovely shot, love it against the blue sky!
