Dave's 365

Thanks Julian :) I finally timed it right and got the right location for a decent sunset shot! Only one image now - don't know what happened there!

262/365 - Hurst Spit

I set the alarm today with the intention of getting down to Hurst Spit for the sunrise but it just didn't happen! So another welding glass shot - a bit blown but I think it adds to the image :D More shots posted HERE

I think the fact that it's obviously blown does not matter with this shot Dave, it adds a bit of mystery to the shot and in mono works well, love it!

Like Hurst spit, walking along the stones with a pushchair and 2 little ones gives me a good workout :)

Thanks Julian. I know what you mean about the stones Julian - I had to have a kip this afternoon!

Like it, nice pp too.

Also like some of the others :)
Thanks Lisa. It's an interesting place - I should have gone into the castle really - lots more to shoot in there I'm sure. :)

am liking 4 & 5 very much - your pics are really diverse and interesting - I'm looking forward to seeing many more of them over the coming year

(and may I suggest matley wood, and hatchet pond as you live so close? ;))

Thank you Maria. I've not heard of Matley Wood. Where's that?

263/365 - Just a dream...

Another Sunday spent at Popham Airfield, this time with Keith (Crusher). We also bumped into Julian (Shrubmonkey).

I like this shot, and the process seemed to suit. :)
Loads more shots can be seen on my Flickr and a few more here.

Interesting spot that one Dave, yeah see what you mean (looks like a shocked face) about the processing.

You right it was better than the previous week, I think it was because I was with the family had had to keep an eye on the little ones, but did have some good family fun ;)

Yes I enjoyed today. Thought you'd be there today - good to see you mate :)

I like the shapes from the reflections and the detail in the props.
Thanks Lisa. I tried to get a few different shots today, rather than just planes.

I thought you guys were going for an urbex?? :naughty:

Nice shot Dave, I still want that lens...
Yeah still planning something Jonny.

Thanks, just pull the trigger mate, you won't regret it! :D

256/365 - I had a good day at a Yak & Russian aircraft fly-in at Popham Airfield today with Julian AKA Shrubmonkey. Here's one of my favourites.

The angle and processing give this a real toy / model feel to the image

258/365 - Roses. A quick filler from the garden taken with 70-200VR + 1.4TC, 240mm, 1/10th @ f/4 ISO200. Gotta love VR :D

Lovely processing on this shot Dave :)

I Really must give this a go, fantastic image and the fact that its a bit blown adds to the image (IMO) ;)

265/365 - Broken.

A bit like I'm feeling today! Still, only one hundred days to go :|

Lovely use of light and shadow.

Nice shadow there. Nice b&w too.
Thanks Lisa - a bit of a 'eureka' moment this one was! I'm very pleased with it.

Thanks Chris

Strange processing in the first one (looks like the green and red from a 3D image, but not offset), but I think this one works better than the 2nd.

Nice Dave............very, very nice:thumbs:

If I had to pick...........then I prefer the 2nd one:thumbs:

No.2 for me too :)

Where is todays pic :|

Thanks Julian. It was taken with a infra-red filter at 30 sec and processed as per something I found on the web, so it's sort of infra-red I think.

Yes, my fav too Keith. Thanks

266.2 looks great. I like the brightness around the flower.
Thanks :)

I like the first more, what pp did you do?
Swapped blue and red channels in Photoshop which I read somewhere you're supposed to do for infra-red shots, but to be honest I haven't got the hang of it yet :D

No.2 for me too :)

Thanks Luke. Having a non-inspirational day today so expect a filler shot later!
