I did wonder if my wasp would have been better with the 50mm actually, just I had the 70-200 mounted at the time.
I will have to work out which lens gives me my best macro-ish performance.

I love the effect the long exposure has had on the wid-swept pollution from the stack.

Get a BR-2 reversing ring and try that with the 50mm Julian

233/365 - Another failure of sorts today. I went out to experiment with an IR filter, but alas I think this was the wrong subject in the wrong light. Good job I shot a couple of colour shots - only trouble is I left the ISO at 1600 :eek: :bang:

Anyway, this is a cute little church near me - will have to try again with the IR filter when the sun is out!

I went to the Bournemouth Air Festival Saturday. Ended up at relatives Sat night and snapped this fun shot of my niece which I much prefer to any of the 600 odd aircraft shots I took! :D
 
Lovely capture Dave. Funny I went to Popham for just an hour this afternoon, and can not decide what shot to use of the few I took :D
 
Yeah next Popham event is - 13th September YAK/Russian Aircraft Fly-In (Theme TBC). Up for that Dave :)

Love today's shot too, although I think it could do with a little more contrast or curves adjustment.

232/365 - Well, not actually taken today. Today's shot was another experiment with infra-red but after several hours in Photoshop it was still absolutely shocking so I gave up and processed a few from the Bournemouth Air Festival from Saturday instead! Here's the Eurofighter Typhoon. I had a slightly different perspective than most as I was in a boat moored off the pier. You can not believe how difficult it is to get these things in the frame and in focus having to cope with their speed and the bloody boat rocking all over the place! :lol:

I went to watch Saints (Southampton FC) play Birmingham in The League Cup tonight and took the D300 and Siggy 30mm f1.4. Great entertaining match but alas we lost 1-2 :(
