Dave this thread is starting resemble the "I know an old lady who swallowed a fly.... I don't know why she swallowed a fly. Sheeeeeeeee swallow the fly to catch the bird, she swallowed the bird to catch the cat....... oh you get the idea :lol: Nice damsel btw :thumbs:

They eat insects, mainly small flies :)

I haven't seen any adults so far this year, but I did some pond dipping today and found some larva, so hopefully there'll be out soon :)
 
Fabulous shot of the damsel fly, its eyes look almost like chrome at a quick glance.

134/365 - Hmmmmm.....I was stuck for something to shoot today with the 70-300VR as it rained all day, but managed to capture these two on my way home walking in the rain in The New Forest. :)
 
Damsel fly shot is good Dave - Pity the damsel fly was not in the middle of the leaf though (you could have asked him / her nicely to shuffle sideways :lol:)
 
You got your eyes nice and sharp, well done, its always nice to see pics of who you are conversing with, I think we should all include a self portrait in our 365s.

136/365 - A slight improvement on yesterday's pic :lol: Shot with the Nikkor 105mm Micro and Raynox DCR-250. Bloody hard trying to get a sharp image with this combination, especially hand held!
 
Nice flesh fly Dave ;) Glad you realise just how hard this macro stuff is Mate :lol:

2nd bench shot is really nice!
