Dave's 365

Nice shot Dave, seems we were doing the same thing except I did mind at the Hampshire show in Romsey  Nice shot Mate ;)

How anything can balance on a hand after an afternoon in a beer tent is beyond me - or was it you that had been there?

I just knew when I typed that that someone would come up with a witty comment!

Thanks Alby - yes I saw yours too. I did have a shot of one of them owls but then you would have thought I was copying you (again!)

Look forward to seeing the Exbury Gardens photos, everytime we drive past we keep saying we must go in one day :)

Dave,

Just having a catch-up.

I like the Bluebell picture - nice to see some foreground interest :thumbs

And i do like the processing on the old wellington boots

125/365 - I had to leave work early today to go somewhere else so I stopped at a place with great views called Picket Post for my lunch. I think the smell of my ham and pickle sandwiches attracted this pony which then proceeded to follow me around!

Oh and forgot to mention - yesterday was the start of my week of only using one lens - my Sigma 30mm f1.4 prime :D So far, so good!

Looks good :)

Ham & Pickle :D

Will be interested in the results using this lens as its one i have my eye on for the 50D. A 50mm will be a little too long i feel after being used to the 50mm on the D700.

127/365 - My evening ahead - sorted! Shot at f1.4 :D

I'm falling in love with the Sigma 30mm f1.4  I got this lens for Christmas last year but have hardly used it - I think I've missed out!

I know - it's sat in my bag pretty much unused for the last 4 months :nono: :cuckoo:

But I'm loving it now :woot:

Good luck with getting the 35mm f2 - AI or AI-s?

Edit: just realised how dirty my wine glass is! :puke:

Mmmmm very nice DoF, so nice in fact, your wine glass looks a little dirty :geek:

haha typed that before I saw your reply Dave :p

129/365 - Just a quick grab shot of Elsa today - shot wide open on the 30mm f1.4 camera on ground not looking through viewfinder - kinda like a point and shoot :D

Lovely use of DoF there Dave. Looks like she's on the prowl.
Thanks Marc - after my toes I think!

Blimey Dave you've got some tenacity to do all this
Thanks Dave :)

I think I might join you on this lens a week thing Dave, I feel like I need a bit of structure to keep me thinking. Next week might be 50mm 1.8 week!!
Yes I'm enjoying it - you're correct, it does make you think differently. I might try the Siggy 10-20 after I'm bored with the 30 f1.4

130/365 - I went to the Popham Airfield Classic Cessna fly in today and shot this non-Cessna plane landing. It was a lovely relaxing day and the people were all so very friendly and civilised. :D

Edit: A few other shots can be seen here

131/365 - This is Chudley, my neighbour's cat who spends most of his time in my house. The weeping eye is a result of being run over.

Just a quick grab with the 70-300VR (this week's lens) whilst he was sat on next door's conservatory roof.

Lovely sense of speed in day 130's shot Dave

Also liking todays - the focus is spot on :)

Very clever catching that plane landing like that, I must try that type of shot some day.

Poor kitty, will the eye always weep?

The robin is spot on.

First the cat very good Mate but then cat food in live format, evil...pure evil  Brilliant shots both cat and bird oh plane too ;)

Loved yesterdays Dave, was today's at 300mm??

Looks sharp to me, keep getting told the lens isn't sharp at 300!!

Nice composition and DoF there Dave
Thanks Julian :)
