63/365 - Moody skies. I went out tonight hoping for some nice light to photograph a little church I know but the weather didn't play ball. On the way back I spotted this moody sky across a field. I applied a preset in Lightroom and ended up with this. I just love Lightroom!

Catching up again Dave, loving the gull shot so much detail and the backlighting on the wings looks fantastic, the match shot is good to never tried that one for late I think .

Todays is awesome the colour of the sky is fantastic was it really that colour or is that a result of the lightroom preset?

Sean

Same here, trying to visit everybody's 365.
I see we no longer have the same camera! Really like the match shot, well done.

Dave,
Im finding your shots on your 365 absolutely mesmorising. Im really taken with the one you did of yourself sat next to yourself on the sofa. You said you did it on photo shop - could you tell me how please?
Also, how do you rate the Nikon D300? i was toying with the idea of the D90 or the 300.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks Sean. The camera recorded that colour on the auto white balance setting, although the actual colour was more like grey!

Thanks Andy - have a look at this thread

I was expecting a shot of some proper birds and a pole, but I suppose that will have to do!!

Maybe we have smutty minds, I was going to suggest to Dave to rename his thread, as the 'Birds & Poles' title suggested something different :naughty:

Come on admit it - its just one bird and pole and you used the clone stamp tool didn't you :suspect:

65/365 - Self portrait. That's all today.

Depending on your screen resolution and browser size this may not look right! (It's two images side by side so Pixel Police - leave me alone!)

Just doing my rounds of the 365's.

The last week has seen another great set of photos mate. I expecially like the ignition one and the self-portrait:clap::clap:

Have you got a new camera or something?.............

Awesome shots Dave. Could you do me a favour and pm me details of the camera club you run, I have been looking for one and not had a lot if luck.

Catching up again for a filler that seagull shot is great  thats a cracking self portrait too, I take it the self portrait is one image flipped you surely can't be that symmetrical ;) very nice shot like the processing your eyes look great.

Sean

That really is great Dave, fantastic in fact. It looks very processed, but that adds to it in my opinion.
Thanks JD - it was processed by a Lightroom preset.

Thanks Sean, well spotted - I'm not quite that symmetrical, and my eyes aren't quite that far apart!

67/365 - I was meant to go sailing today but it was far too windy, so I decided to watch the local park football. What a crappy game it was, but what they lacked in skill they made up for in determination!

Know what you mean about the wind today, we went to Hurst Castle today and boy was it windy, so lucky we caught the little ferry boat back to Lymington just as the wind and rain arrived (and before the tide was right out).

Love the footy pick, the picture really sums up your description, looks like the lad has completely missed the ball (or you moved it in PS) :)

No I didn't move the ball, I think it's called 'going for the man'!

That's a fair old walk out to Hurst Castle Julian. Must've been hard work in that wind!

68/365 - Paint! Ever had a shot in mind and then no matter how hard you try you can't get it to look how you envisage it? Well, this is one of them! :bang: I saw my son's Warhammer paint and had an idea for a shot but this isn't it! Not too happy with this shot but I'm tired so it'll have to do! :)

69/365 - A young bird of some kind (Starling? Where's Alby when you need him?). I had great fun snapping these little buggers down at Mudeford Quay at lunchtime today :D

What a fantastic starling shot, as nicnok says it captures the colours perfectly. Starting to wonder if you have a collection of stuffed birds, these shots are just too good :)
