Date stamp photos

I have a panasonic lumix camera and I want to date stamp the photograph, so when I come to download them onto the computer, I can see the date when the photo was taken, and easly identify the place etc. Does this stay on the photograph or will it be stamped on the back.

The date/time a photo was taken will be registered in the EXIF data within the image itself, once you've put the images on to your computer, if you right click and select Properties it should be in the details tab (along with a load of other information about the image).

Or are you talking about having the date/time visible on the image itself? There may be a setting in the camera to do this or otherwise you'd need some photo editor/processing software that would add the information after the image was taken.

Stamped on the back of a photograph downloaded onto the computer? How do you look at the back of a photo on the computer?

My dads Panasonic Lumix has a setting in the camera to date stamp the time an date onto the corner of the image, so yours may well do to. You'll have to check the manual as to how to enable it.
