Looking forward to the new year.

Yeah, I don't disagree Paul, I think that I wasn't invested enough in the image to want to spend the time (desire vs. laziness...laziness won...I really like your chosen image, it's very strong. Personally I think I would have cloned out the power cables top right.
Very good!
Thanks Dave.Yeah the cable would have gone for me - effective ICM though!
Thanks Tim, I always appreciate a different perspective. And yet, the power cables don't worry me in your ICM shot at all, in fact, they perhaps add to it, being so blurred.
Thank you LindsayWorks well for me as ICM
Thanks Paul, I did process one as a colour image but I thought that the B&W looked a little spookier.Great shot, the mono really gives it some presence!
Thank you Peter.Great ICM and well composed Bill.
Thanks Simon, no courage needed (I don't shoot filmReally cool shot. Getting some great ideas for this ICM tech when I pluck up the courage to do it!
Thank you Helen. The ICM makes it look spooky to me...a little haunted condo down the street from where I live...I really like this shot. It's amazing what a difference a bit of creativity can make.
Totally agree Brian, I would never have taken the straight shot for it's own sake.Very nice use of icm. Vastly improves the "straight" shot.
Thanks Dave.Like the shot as it just looks cool.
For me it's all about strong vertical or horizontal lines. One pans up and the pans across. It would never have occurred to me to use ICM on a static building but it works really well!
I like that a lot. Nicely shot and processed.
The vertical ICM suits the image, not worried about the power cable. A strong image.
Pete
Thanks Nick, an unintended effect of the processNice!
I really like how the fade in the sky works when converted to mono, and the way that fade seems to be echoed in the tower.
Thanks Ian, I was too lazy to remove them. I figured it was "good enough" for a shot caught on the fly.Much prefer the ICM version and in mono. I'd be tempted to remove the power cables (not read previous comments) but I think on the whole that's a minor issue.
Thank you Bebop!I very much like how it turned out. The B&W works really well and you can still see what it is.
Thanks Pete.A great series and I think the ICM composite is terrific. I like the way there's just a hint of background and horizon around the heron on the structure. Of the rest I like the close-up of the nut and bolt. Nice composition and use of DOF.
Thank you Paul.A really good set of images, and I think your chosen one is fantastic.
Thanks Shirley, I didn't know that there were any tutorials for this. I've just been floundering on my own trying different things out.Chosen shot is right up my alley! Nicely done. I was watching a tutorial last night on how to do these composites as I think they look fantastic when done well, and you have done this one very well.
Thanks Dave.Yep - nice set and lovely Heron shot![]()
Thanks Pete, in my mind rusty=oldYour chosen shot is a cracker. Love the movement with the ICM.
All your other shots are also great, lots of rusty things.
Thanks Dave, I got lucky. The heron flew down to perch on the pylons just as I was walking up to the scene.Great set for old, but the first is a cracker of a shot.
Thanks Kell. The first shot for Old is impressive. I do have a soft spot for the Chevy though (love cars). And the narrow DOF shot with the bolt and the moss is also a corker.
Strong week.
This is the one I was watching. Unfortunately this one cheats as it adds fake ICM by way of motion blur, but the layer principles are the same if you are using 2 separate shots. Thanks Pete.
Thank you Paul.

Maybe you can post URL of any of the better ones you've found?
Thanks Dave.

Thanks Shirley, I'll have a look tonight. This is the one I was watching. Unfortunately this one cheats as it adds fake ICM by way of motion blur, but the layer principles are the same if you are using 2 separate shots.

Thanks Bebop, yes. An ICM shot with the static shot painted in.I love that first shotPresumably a composite of a static and ICM shot?
Cool shot, and good choice as it hits the tech too.
I think on balance, I actually prefer #2. It sort of looks like a graveyard built from nuts and bolts.
