Yes
I've just purchased an iBasso DX50 hi res audio player. I've been a long time ipod user but I've now amassed a large collection of digital hi res music so I wanted something I could play these back on the move. Anyone else here bought a hi res player ? If so which one, and how do you find it ?

Never seen the need tbh, if I am out and about the ambient noise is such that high quality audio would be wasted. Would much prefer investing in a nice home hifi setup (although being a cheapskate all I do is put a USB DAC on my computer to output to headphones).

LOL me too, I use a Meridian USB dac with AKG K550's on my Macbook, sounds great. Although I did recently buy a Cambridge Audio Minx Xi and a pair of Q acoustic concept 20's, an excellent setup for digital music for not a lot of money.

If you into audio, check out the Fiio toys including USB sound cards, DACs etc.

I have the 550s as well. 2 pairs actually thanks to a sale, one pair at work and one pair at home.

I read the reviews on Fiio plus pretty much every hi res player on the market, I decided to go for the iBasso DX50 based on good reviews and bang for buck. It arrived today and I'm impressed. Been listening to it with my (not yet run in) Beyerdynamic T51P's. It's a fantastic combo. I've two weeks before I'm off on hols so I need to get a good selection of music onto my 128gb micro sd card.

I'm seriously looking at the Fiio x5ii as I really need the greater capacity and it's getting great reviews, planning on partnering it with the Beyerdynamic T 51p's. But its main use will be for when I have to go into hospital or if my internet radio or hifi break down ( most of my home listening is done through a revo superconnect for radio and old radio shows & music through a Naim Unitiqute2/PMC twenty 21's/ NAS system)
