I used to absolutely love the Fantastic Mr Fox book when I was a kid, and that was ruined for me when they made the film version of it.

Films can just 'Do one'!!

On the subject of character's voices - I see that Casey Kasem (voice of Scooby Doo's Shaggy) died at the weekend.

I didn't know that,
I remember spending hours watching that with my two as they were growing up.
 
They'll probably kill it with CGI like they have done when other old programs have been redone. Like Fireman Sam, Magic Roundabout, Postman Pat and many others. Even Padington Bear is CGI now. I have no interest in seeing it, it's dead to me now :( lol.

My kids love all the old cartoons from when I was a kid. Like Penny Crayon, Family Ness, Charley Chalk and Bertha lol. Can't beat the old theme tunes either...

I could sit here all night and name tones of old cartoons that will kick any remade ones bottoms:oops: :$

My style of animation.......

and this is strangely addictive.....
 
They've redone Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-Man in the early Noughties and both were well received. I know Thundercats wasn't renewed after its first season a couple of years ago.

Tintin was redone in 3D.

It doesn't surprise me that they're redoing these things. Part of me wonders whether it's just because they've run out of ideas, or there are 30-somethings sitting around thinking "Hey, remember xxxx and how that was a great show? Let's remake it!". The companies see $$$ in their eyes and greenlight it.
 
All this Nostalgia, reminded me of the Magic Roundabout :D
Best version ever IMO :thumbs: (contains one sweary)

 
And there are rumours of a Bananaman movie. I wouldn't mind seeing that come to fruition . . . as so to speak.
