Decided to give this a go to try and motivate me to get out and take more photos, although I did think I was going to have to give up on the first week. Talk about a tough one to start with.

Really struggled for inspiration on this one, but at the last moment whilst out walking with the family this afternoon, I spotted this.

Gave me an opportunity to try some other stuff out that I've been meaning to do for a while - the presets in lightroom and trying some of the ideas in magazines. I went with colour creative - aged photo in lightroom and thought it might look good using an app called poladroid (hope that's not cheating).

Anyway here goes...

I think as it's your 52 you can process how you want. Nice shot, but I would've liked to have see the whole of the back of the barge - if it were possible.

That's what I wanted, but some un-thoughtful chap had parked a big white van behind it! So I had to crop it

It appears to be a narrow boat, which you can take holidays on as holiday accommodation

Like the idea, but I'm afraid it's not obvious enough what it is. Get the back of the barge in the shot and you've got a winner

I like the shot and the P&P as i knew what is was it meets the challange IMO

I like the shot, i knew what it is at first look. Like the P&P as it suits the narrow boats. Shame about the white van man parking behind though making you have to crop.

As others have said I'd have liked to see more of the barge but I think the pp with the antiqued look fits the shot well and holds a nice balance with the traditional sign-writing.

Good interpretation of the theme, although have to agree it would have been nice to see more of the barge.

Like the post processing you have used, compliments the sign very well.

Week 2 - New

The New England Patriots logo. Only came up with it last minute, so I think I could have done better with more time... Finding this whole 52 week thing quite difficult and it's only week 3!

Go Pats! My favourite team, AFC East champs again too! I would have got a little more of the logo in focus myself. Well, I say that, I probably wouldn't have due to my lacking skills but I would have tried to . You get my point hopefully.
