Recently bought a Fuji point and shoot from Warehouse express. After 3 weeks it stopped auto focussing, so I contacted them via the telephone number on the website and spoke to a very pleasant lady who advised that they would arrange collection. "When would you like that to occur Ade?" said lady asked. Now this got me pondering, as people only slate companies when things go wrong and never praise when things go right, so I figured there was a catch and said "Tomorrow please", that should catch them out I thought. Alas, not, they agreed. To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to "deliver" on the promise of next day collection. b****r, I can`t rant about them on the internet for this one.

The lady explained that they would send the lens back to Fuji who would repair or replace it, then contact me when it was ready. Here is my chance for a bitch and moan I thought, no way would they do that, no way would they phone me when it was ready and I would have to wait at least 3 months for it. I knew that would be the case because I had read things like that on the internet and nobody is ever wrong on the internet.Stonewalled guarantee I could vent some frustration on here..............

They let me down, badly! THEY phoned me after only two weeks and advised that my little P&S was ready and that the lens had been replaced, how very disappointed I was to get such good service and negate my opportunity to rant.

The final nail in the coffin was this " When would you be in to accept delivery Ade?" "Tomorow?" I ventured in the vain hope of catching them out. "No problem" was the reply...............Dammit.

1145 next day, camera returned and working perfectly.

Top notch service all round.

I have had a bitch about them before when something went wrong, only fair to post a positive experience now.............

Good on you Ade, thanks for sharing a positive experience.

Its nice to hear about customer service improving at WEX, we are all aware of the poor service some have received.

Just seems a little off that you had to wait for a repair of a three week old camera when surely a new one should have been shipped without question ?

sounds like good service, only thing I would say is that I thought a fault within 28 days of purchase meant instant replacement or refund..??

EDIT:thought I was right

If the fault occurs within the first 28 days you will always have the option of a replacement item or a refund.

Nice post:)

Always found them helpful myself too.

That is because most people never bother to say when they have had good service, most just spout off when they have had bad service. I wonder what the percentage of bad experiences are too good ones with WEX? I bet the latter is better.

I wasn`t in a great rush, so didn`t ask them to be honest.

.

So very true. I try to leave good feedback if I get good service, and I've got to say, WEX rates among the highest for me

Considering they get icecreams most days from the ice cream man at about 3 ish thats very good!

 Is there anything that you dont have a wee moan/rant about Ade  :p

I've always had that quality of service from them. TBH, I've heard tales of poor service from every large retailer out there, photographic or otherwise.

Always good to here a tale of good service though.

I've never ever had decent service from WEX....

... but then again I've never bought anything from them.

Park on the other hand have been excellent! :D

I'd be well upset if I'd bought a new camera three weeks ago that goes faulty and was then told would be without it for a further two weeks.

Can't believe you didnt get warehouse exp to send out a replacement model immediately let alone be praising them for what to me seems rotten service on a brand new purchase.

I'm also surprised on the repair rather than replace but nowhere in that was the service rotten

As he's already said, he didn't ask for a replacement. Hardly constitutes rotten service.

If I had have been in a rush, I would have asked. As it was only my £180 P&S,I wasn`t, so didn`t. Please try to understand that...........:)

Considering it was returned to Fuji and mended, returned back to me within two weeks, I was pleased with THAT service. However, if it had been a D700 and the same malfunction had surfaced, I would have expected a new one.

One can only comment on the service one gets from the supplier, in this case and scenario, I was happy.

Though God knows why I bothered saying so with the doom mongers and perfectionists commenting .

by your price I am assuming that its the Z900EXR? a camera that Fuji Refurb shop sell for £159.99, so I personally feel you have now paid too much for what you have.

you feel you have had good service, others don't, people are different and those differences come out on this great forum.. that is the beauty of it..

FFS..............

How the f*** do you know which camera I have bought? As such, HTF do you know if I have paid too much? So personally, I don`t give a damn what your opinion is.

Over and out!

Definitly good to hear WEX are getting it right again. They did have a 'low' period in my experience but they appear to be making a good effort to get it right every time.

A while ago I said I would not use them again - but based on a few good reports I would now consider them for future purchases.

terrible attitude toward a fellow forum member..:nono:

Well you did suggest he paid too much for a camera based on a price you found for a camera that may or may not be the same - and is definitly a refurb.

yes good point duly noted Richard, I am a but rubbish at explaining things.

I took the £180 OP said he had paid and founf the nearest thing on WEX then looked at Fuji Refurb(which is essentially what he now owns) price...

but as I said OP some people accept things and some don't, its what makes us individual.

bet you wish you hadnt bothered Ade:D:D
I have always found them OK in fact I have always had good service from Jessops too :D:D

Ade - these people are everywhere & always want to "air" their doom views....

That reminds me, I need to chase them again about my F-in-Laws camera they have had for a month and not a dickie bird from them even after several emails!

There is a big clue in there you may have missed. REFURB...

Bit like moaning John Lewis sell an iPod for £150 whereas one from the apple refurb store is £135. Pointless.

not pointless at all, OP buys camera new, camera breaks within 21 days and therefore OP was entitled to new replacement or refund and the broken camera would have been fixed and sold on Fuji Refurb store so in essence OP now has a refurb camera he could have got for cheaper..

By that logic no one should ever by new as it may break so we should all by used.. o yeah manufactures don't make used products!!!

To me there is a difference in a product I have had from new and one that has been owned by someone else and refurbed. No doubt you could have found somewhere even cheaper than the refurb store... What if you had bought from refurb store and it broke again, warrenty may be less and it may not have been the perfect experience the OP has.

Top marks for this thread!
