Reported a nasty one in our close on Thursday evening. Right on a corner and exposing the metal corner of a manhole. This morning, at 06:45, 2 blokes turned up and splodged a shovel of tarmac into the hole. More a patch than a repair but better than nothing. Can't understand why it had to be done so early on a weekend - must be trying to spend their extra repair budget! Might be because I pointed out that it was dangerous to cyclists and could cause damage to wheels and tyres on cars.
 
I'd been up for an hour or so before they started! I didn't hear them since I was in the shower while they did it (shows how long it took them to do the patch!)
