No
More drop off's in the last couple of days than a herd of Lemmings :(

It seems an Open Reach engineer is coming out Sunday ( yeah that's what I thought too)
But at least Sundays are 2 hour slots, and not AM or PM

No doubt it'll be another failing piece of 50 odd year copper wire

Good grief, aren't you in MK not the wilds of Scotland!

Hopefully this next OR engineer will sort it once and for all!

I told you you'd regret leaving TalkTalk!

at a leaving speed of 0.3 Mbs, no I don't regret it for a minute
Very slow response from TT engineers and rapid response, usually next day from BT
No I don't regret it (y)

The estate was built in the late '60's and the copper wire has been there since,
And the exchanged is a guesstimated 5 Km away.
Of course it was all about phones then.

There is now a pretty good infrastructure of fiber offering speeds of up to 1Mb
But TBH the prices they want I'll happily call out an O/R engineer every couple of months.

FWIW
When on ADSL the router connection specs showed our exchange is 5.5km.....this as you may be aware is the wire distance. I think when I last bothered to drive it it was about 6 km.

I was getting download speed of between 2.7 to 3.5Mbps which for the line and exchange distance was pretty damn good.

Since FTTC arrived the cabinet is approx 500m away, I got a pretty good deal from PlusNet for phone & BB which was a little less combined than we were paying BT for phone and PlusNet for the ADSL BB

Is there not FTTC coverage in your part of town?

Yes, I'd say slightly less than half a mile away, ( as the worm wriggles ) but that still leave about half a mile of ancient copper wire which fails on a regular basis :(

I'll PM you a couple of links, when on the PC tomorrow, to get some data that may help you hold their feet in the fire to "extractum digitum'" to provide what should be achieved not what is being provided ???

Cheers for that (y)
Although they are quite good at knocking a months payment off the bill :)
They even gave me a few quid back, not so long ago, for not dealing with it, within 2 days.
I didn't have the heart to tell them, the engineer was there next day.
But then the email did say "Do not reply to this email
