Certainly a more reasonable response than the previous arsey one, we are only trying to help and provide suggestions.
As it happens, its DHL so got to be worth checking it out.
When you signed for it, you agreed it was in good condition.
You need to sort this out with the seller - ignore anyone telling you to put in a claim with the carrier - they are talking gibberish![]()
If you think "how is that relevant?" is arsey, then oh-deary-me.
Well if you are correct, and Ive no reason to doubt you, then from now on we should all make the delivery bloke wait on the dorrstep whilst we open the package ans test the item?
What the hell is the point in the "damage" part of the insurance in that case?
Damage is due to clear mis-handling by the postage service - ie dropping, running over by a forklift etc,
Its pretty obvious when something is damaging in the post - and yes, if something is obviously damanged, you don't sign for it at all. You reject it then and there. You don't accept it and test it.
Sorry if you will also think this is arsey! But you are giving bad advice.
Although quite how you are supposed to know if an item has been dropped and damaged in a depot when a bloke turns up at the door with a box in a DHL bag is beyond me.
Read what you wrote previously here:

and then read what you wrote in what I've quoted above.
See where I am going with this?
After doing a bit of checking, the person who sold you the lens has been on the forums today.
Agree with Andy Mark, hopefully the seller is honest and genuine and sorts it for you as it seems like its had a problem for a while
