I've just ordered one of these as the dual purpose nature of the backpack appeals ie. you can remove the camera block to use it as just a rucksack. As nowhere local stocks them I've taken the plunge.

Does anyone else have any experience of this relatively little known product?

The intended maximum load is an EOS 40D with a 24-105mm, EFS 10-22mm, and a 100-400mm, I find this too heavy to carry in a shoulder bag and I'm fed up with leaving my gear behind if I go hiking.

Do you reckon it'll do the job?

Thanks in advance.

i just sold mine as it wasnt practical to my quick acess needs right now but its great, it held everything in my sig and a 17-70 and it still had loads of space. its comfy on your back and it doesnt look like a camera bag...

you will like it for sure :)

Thanks for your help guys...will just have to wait 2-3 weeks now for delivery :(

Like the look of the Dakine as it doesn't scream "I'm a camera bag, come and steal me"

How do you rate it? Also where did you get it from?

Hi koi, after being told of the wait which I was told may now take even longer and discovering the fact that they had already debited my card at time of order I cancelled it and got my money back.
Ordered a Lowepro Mini trekker from Morris Photographic, which was delivered next day at a little over half the price of the Dakine.
I've been very happy with it (Lowepro) so far, I just get so annoyed by companies that take your money and then go buy your goods. To be fair they (Extreme GB) refunded within a few days, but it's the principle.

Hi Wasp.
Had the same issue with ExtremeGB in the last few days. Bought the mission (not photo) was told it was out of stock, asked to cancel the order on the 29th, card was debited on 30th, and refund was not had untill today. They were friendly over the phone though.

Ah no probs. I prefer the design of the Dakine, other bags just look plain compared to it!
