D90 Picture settings

I have a Nikon D90 and occassionly photograph weddings.
I set picture size to large and quality to fine. however, during the course of the day I am somehow inadvertantly changing these settings to medium/small and normal/basic. I'm sure i'm not changing these through the memu settings, therefore does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and more importantly is there a way to stop this happening in the future as I'm now getting paranoid and checking the settings every five minutes.

You must be changing the QUAL setting when reviewing images on the screen, as the QUAL and zoom button are the same. Just be carefull you dont press QUAL and rotate the thumb or finger wheel whilst the monitor isnt on.

done this quite a few times then realised i was moving the front or back wheel.
