not a bargain.

No warranty on it as there is no international warranty on Nikon bodies

The Nikon UK warranty gives you two years warranty - well worth that eztra £50 when an out-of-warranty repair on a Grey imported body will cost £100+.

lens are fine, if you have paid VAT. If you've had it sent with marked down valuation to keep VAT down, you have no warranty.

All details are on Nikon UK.

How do i know if i have paid VAT? I have a friend who is about to buy the 55-200 VR from there, how can i make sure everything is fine for him?

Add 15% to the full value of the price charged for the lens.

If its not marked at full value (ie £30 "repaired lens") this is VAT fraud.

143.28 x 1.15 = 164.77

Right thanks so the 55-200VR is actually £164 not £143 in which case it is probably better to buy from amazon.

If its sent legitimately with the full customs value then you'd expect to paid an extra 15%.

But it will be sent under valued and probably as a "repair" - this will avoid VAT, and this also mean you will have no warranty.

In many cases, importing is false economy.

Further to the above - this is why many forums do not allow price comparisons for "price pointing" with imports from HK as its not fair to penalise a local seller with price comparisons where no VAT has been paid.

If you are after a D90 Body at a good price I can split the kits and do a good price. if you are interested send me a PM.
