Folks, Is the Nikon battery for the D810 suitable for the D850? The D850 has an A added to the part number so if compatible is there a power difference?

Yes it works fine, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is but I used both with no issues.

Cheers, just found it searching, a few early reviews have the battery for the D850 as the same battery but it seems its not the d850 has around 600 more actuations on a charge than the d810...Oh well he goes more spending..lol...

Yeah I think its slightly more powerful, I wouldn't bother buying extra "new" ones if you've already got the older ones though to be honest.

Capacity of the Li-Ion 20 version of the old one and the new a version seem to be exactly the same. Lots of rumours but one that might make sense is that it is just the 20 version rebadged.
