D80 + Flash ?

Well I got my D80 today haven`t had time to play with yet but hopefully I`ll get chance over the next couple of days

one thing is that i can`t get my flash to work when i put it in the hot shoe anybody know what I`m doing wrong.

Also what is the differnce in the auto focus system AF-A, AF-S AND AF-C

AF-S - Single Servo (one time focus)

AF-C - Continuous Servo (moving object tracking)

AF-A - Auto AF (Let the camera decide which is best)

What flash are you using?
