My old Nikon D7100 is starting to show its age. It has focusing issues where every picture I take lacks sharpness. I have tried different lenses and I have tried my lenses on a friend’s D7500. The pictures were very sharp on his but soft, almost blurry, on mine.

I’m thinking it’s time for an upgrade.

What would you good folks do?

I’m looking second hand, minimal budget, maybe £500-£700.

Would you go for another DSLR or take the plunge into mirrorless?

If I did go mirrorless, could I get something decent for that budget?

Any help and input would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi

What lenses do you already have and what do you shoot, this should help with the suggestion.

Thank you

I have:

AF-S Nikkor 18-300mm 1:3.5-6.3G ED

Sigma DC 50-200mm 1:4-5.6n HSM

AF-s Nikkor 18-70mm 1:35-4.5G ED

AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:35.5.6GII ED

I love landscapes and wildlife.

With that budget a D500 is the best bet, but you could also do with better lenses
