Just thought I’d stick another recommendation in here.

I, like many on here, have been a bit sceptical about buying a grey import. In fact I was sure I wanted a UK model with the 2 year warranty…however after other recommendations on here I’ve now bought from panamoz and couldn’t be happier.

At the end of the day the cost difference was just too big to ignore.

The cheapest UK model D7000 I could find was over £700. Panamoz was only £563 after the 5% discount for paying by bank transfer. In fact I managed to get the camera, spare battery, 1 year replacement warranty and 2 x 16GB SD cards delivered for only £626.

Now I’ve read the various threads bout the risk of not using credit cards and the various woes about warranty but I just asked myself, would I pay and extra £140 (nearly 25%) to get an extra years warranty and a bit more peace of mind and the answer was no.

The service was great, I e-mailed Tina for a quote, she sent me the invoice, I transferred the money and then had a UPS tracking number in no time. Ordered on a Thursday morning and had the camera by Monday, I doubt it would have been much quicker if it had come from a UK supplier. The packaging was also spot on.

Another happy customer.

I ordered exactly the same camera a Nikon D7000 with the 18-105mm kit lens, plus some extras last Sunday afternoon, got back a almost instant order confirmation, tracking email this morning ( tuesday ), just checked the tracking, its in Germany at the present with delivery scheduled for today ( Wednesday ), getting all excited now.

I have bought from a Hongkong based company before for lenses who also advertise on this forum, but this is my first order with Panamoz and so far
I'm very pleased, though I have to admit to breathing a sigh of relief when I got the tracking email, which is probably a bit silly on my part after reading all the positive feedback on this forum.

Hi Turnbridge,

did you consider the D700 before purchasing the D7000? I'm interested in buying a D7000 myself but have always wanted to go full frame but the price you bought your D7000 is very tempting indeed!

ps. with the warranty of your camera, does Nikon UK honour repairs or do you have to send the camera back to Panamoz??

Many thanks in advanced.
