D7000 help

I've just bought a d7000 a replacement for my d300 now I'm very happy with it BUT I take a shot with it and the focus stays on the image after its been taken any help or advice really appreciated

If I remember, in the menu it says show focus point de select that option. Hope that helps

Really useful tool actually for sports images. Helps me to see how accurate or not I've been.
