D700 Nikon

I made the change to Nikon last June, at first after 20 years of being use to Canon cameras and lenses it was a culture shock and my first attempt to choose the correct lenses meant i was not as impressed as I had hoped.

However now with a D700 and 24-70 attached most of the time i think i have found the most perfect combo i have ever used.
This along with a 180 f2.8, 300 f4 i was going to keep my D300s as a back up and for the moments a crop would come in handy or the use of video, however i am thinking of geting rid to fund a 17-35 f2.8 as i dont think it will get used again as i just love the D700.

If anyone is thinking of making the change to Nikon, dont think about it, just do it!

I feel all dirty now  it only took me 24 hours with the D3S to make me decide to switch :D

Come to Daddy :naughty:

Brilliant camera - I have never regretted downgrading from my D3, not least when lugging the thing around abroad in 35 degree temperature. It's amazing what you can get out of 12 megapixels when the megapixels are this good! Mind you, still might be tempted by a D700x\D800 if it ever sees the light of day and isn't £3.5k!

I'm teetering on the edge of going full frame (got a D300 at the moment) and have been buying full frame lenses in preparation for at least the last 12 months. Tempted to wait to see what the next version of the D700 is like (rumour has it that it's out later this year) before taking the plunge, though - although the D700 is a superb camera, having some of the low-light features of the D3s and 1080p video would be nice ;-)

now i need to find an excuse to head to lincs and i can play with the 200-400 :D
