D700 fault

Just turned my D700 on and pressed the Menu button but nothing is showing on the lcd. Also took a picture OK but again it does not show on the lcd.
Camera is 3 years old with 7K actuations.
Any ideas please.

I guess the LCD or LCD cable is broken!


Off to Nikon for repair.

I had the same issue with a D300. I turned out the display had blown.
