According to CPB with Dixons. Stop tempting me!!! If it drops below £1600, will get one!

So, not a good time to mention the 3% cashback you can get from topcashback - bringing it to £1618 :D

Looks like it's a good price,

you can get 5% off through quidco, then a further 3.5% cash back, making the current price 1610

...and what's a tenner between friends?

A hell of a lot when the wife went mad at my new lighting kit!!! Dont dare buy a paper now! :p

lol, strangely the wife didn't mind at all at my recent purchases! But then I'm kinda buying a house for her so I guess that's a fair compromise in her eyes! haha

The D3 can be had quite reasonably now as well (2nd hand), looks like Nikon are starting to be as accessible as Canon with the full frame market (i.e. the 5D)

http://www.b4utele.com/products/all/all/35000624.htm Under £1500 from somewhere based in Brum. Never heard of them. They do have a postal address.

The devil is in the detail:

B4Utele.com maintains a world-class logistics operation in Hong Kong. Customers from all over the world benefit from our rock bottom pricing & speedy delivery!

Customers are responsible for the customs and import duties that may be applicable with their order depending on their country/region. Please ensure that you fully understand import laws before placing your order with B4Utele.com.

It's misleading to provide a UK address then hide away that you're really based in HK.

It's stated in their FAQ and there is a link with the word 'Customs' at the bottom of the page. They're actually being a damned sight more open about it than some operators such as SE!

So whats "dodgy" about the equipment from OSD then Darren

Aren't they a grey importer which means no Nikon warranty. What if OSD go bust? If they take an age to fix it you couldn't go elsewhere etc etc

One way round that is to purchase a Mack warranty so that the camera can be repaired in the UK. Having said the it's only really worth the hassle if you're saving a good chunk of money, the £100 or so in this case wouldn't exactly get me reaching for my credit card...
