Yes
I’ve got a d600 and have loved it for couple of years! I have been getting dirt on sensor lately and have given sensor a clean ..... still there..... how do I find out if mines been recalled for oil spots already and got a new shutter unit?
I bought it reconditioned from WEX so expected the recall to be done

The oil issue wouldnt take a couple years to show up, it wouldve been from day 1. Are you sure its oil?

No I’m not sure at all

Youll need to figure that out first, the oil issue wouldve shown up from new then improved over time... not gotten worse.

Have you ever wet cleaned it, its probably just dust or pollen.

The oil issue was occurring quickly and even after a sensor clean it would reappear. If you have been using the camera for a couple of years without an issue it's more likely to be a stubborn mark rather than the oil issue.

How have you cleaned it? Sometimes I find I've had to do more than one clean to remove marks.

I usually use my rocket blower and a lenspen and loup kit! I’ve not wet cleaned it before as I’ve not ever felt the need to? I’ve got a wet kit ..... just never used it

It almost looks like ringlets instead of dust particles! Which made me think it was oil or fluid

Worth contacting Nikon maybe as if the problem reoccurs they are (were) eventually replacing affected D600 cameras with D610 ones.

Wasn't there a blanket agreement to do any D600's?

(From experience!)

A blower won't touch oil spots and a LensPen SensorKlear will just smear them, leaving a proper wet clean the only solution. I found that even a wet clean left smears so redid it then followed up with a final SensorKlear "polish" to leave the sensor clear of spots and smears.

Wet cleaned it before Dorset trip and all sorted thanks guys

If it keeps happening and returns quickly, get in touch with Nikon. I'm a bit out of date on how they handle this now but a couple of years back they were doing sensor cleans FOC and replacing shutters where necessary. In my case my camera went to them 3 times within 2500 shutter actuations and on the third occasion they replaced it with a D610.

It sounds like you have been relatively lucky with your's so hopefully no need but worth bearing the above in mind if it becomes problematic.
