Think it his em 1 with a few lens [emoji106]

Yes, em1, 12-40 pro, 40-150 pro + tc, samyang FE, 9-18, sigma 30 f1.4

Not sure if I want to or not as I do like the images generally, I just get annoyed with the ability to nail focus for things like bmx and indoor skateparks where the light isn't so good

You could've save me some money as I've been in the market for the EM1 and 12-40mm ;) DSLRs do still shine in those areas don't they, although it's only a matter of time I think. Look how close the XT2 is now, and I'm waiting to see real world tests from the EM1-II. Do you have a flickr account, interested in seeing action shots with the 40-150mm pro?

the e-m1 is fine for things where objects don't change direction quickly, so drag racing is fine ( generally ), bmx isn't ( although i can do it ) but, yes, DSLRs are still ahead. I'm not sure about the e-m1 11 either, i need to look more into it

My flickr is in the bighugelabs signature under my post at the top of the page

Thank a lot mate it people like you that put me down.
I was just kidding, are you still thinking about moving over to the D750?
From your photo's they good pretty good to me, I'd stick with the better AF in the D500. :)

At the moment I am staying put and building my lens that can be used on FX of course then see what the new D750 replacement be ;) As I do like the AF of this camera and a few other things i like about it more than the D750...

Looking through your Flickr, I don't see the need for the d500 for you. Unless you take ultra fast moving things that aren't on your Flickr of course :)

I have not done anything with the Tracking of yet as the light and weather been rubbish but I will be tracking the dogs who runs like mad which I had lot of fail rates on before so not been posted on Flickr..

Like I said I will wait till the new FF comes out and if I find I don't need the AF speed I will move back.

good luck - will be interested in the results (y)

Plus I have not got a long lens yet ha ha so that need to be sorted too.

Are you still thinking of one mate from what i have tracked indoor they do nail AF very snappy really do

too much money for me at the moment - i'm still in house renovation mode which is bleeding me dry :crying:

tbh i can get dogs running on my m4/3 om10. yes there are shots with missed focus but is it really need to get every shot in focus? i wouldn't keep them all anyway.
looking at your flickr i think you shots with the 5dmk111 were the best of the bunch overall there are some lovely images with it

without a doubt, my point was its the image and subject (and how you approach it) that makes the difference not the camera really.
all top end dslrs are very, very good, people saying rubbish focus or crap dr on modern kit are splitting hairs over cameras that are all really good at their job.

Cheers. Not really been anywhere with this due to weather. Those good ones were summer photies [emoji106]

to be blunt, and i am trying to help here not be rude.
just stop changing your camera, go out and use it. all of the cameras you have owned are great and highly capable. the cameras could all take good pictures you just need to work on how to use it. your pictures will get way better by not changing kit.

So true, he has an excellent camera and lens combo.

and so were all of rookies other combos, as i say its not about being rude. but (just like me, and a lot of others) its the photographer that's the weak link not the camera. practice practice and yet more practice. saying if only i had this camera or lens it could do bla bla is not the answer. enjoying what you have and improving is way better.
then again nothing wrong with a hobby of buying camera kit/gas, buts its nothing to do with photography!

Just looked at your profile don't can't see what you images are like mate and what gear you have..

Yes I know what you say mate and I got to settle like i did the canon days I had canon for 5 years. But I am liking nikon very much and going to start growing the kit and learn again.. Ive the Lee filters set up too lol so I do have some good kit just need to get on with it.

Love to be able to meet up with some pro to get my faith back into all this

You don't need to meet a pro. Just get out and shoot - you live in a beautiful part of the world so go and take photos.

Use filters, find what you like and what you don't and make small changes next time. Use presets in LR ( if that's what you want ), have a play with editing.

I'd be out all the time if I lived where you do - hell, I've even detoured through there ( by going 50+ miles out of my way ) just because I was "nearby" on my way back from meetings

you dont need to "grow" more kit. just learn how to use that one lens. just enjoy it for what it is.
i haven't posted anything really, I've been working without a full day off for 4 years now-retraining in a new field of work. so hope to have more time to myself this year or next to improve my photography. i had a 5dmk111and sold it. but since day it was released I've had a omd-10 (the mk1)

Rookies, you need to STOP the gear obsession, someone gives you advice on getting out and using your camera more, and the first thing you do is want to know their gear,!!!! as all of our enthusiastic amateur level, the gear does not matter, you can take good pictures with any camera on the market today, but its taking a good picture that takes time, practice, more time and more practice.

I would go out on your own first a for a few times, play the with camera, play with settings, get used to it, take some pictures.

Meeting up with people in your current frame of mind will just give you gear envy, and its not the gear that takes the picture its the person pressing the shutter.

You have some great kit, please just get out there and use it, bad weather shouldn't matter, you don't need an amazingly sunny day for great shots, overcast/misty/foggy days can be just as good.
