Yes
Just seen an advert for a D500 with: Shutter Count: 2 Yes that is 2 shutter actuations Not saved up enough yet to be able to buy it, but I'm curious to know a couple of things.
Is it possible to fall out of love with a camera SO quickly? I suppose it might be an unwanted gift.
Why is it listed at £1,100 when the usual price, at this VERY reputable store, when they're normally asking around £1,350 for a used model?
Was it a grey import?

Shop demo model that might have been on the shelf a while but only used once for demonstration?

It doesn't say ex-demo, they usually state that. Replacement shutter is possible though it does say MINT condition. I trust the store completely but just don't have the cash at the moment.

What's the issue, it's a d500 from a well known shop and they're offering their own warranty.

Just curious about the drop of £250 on the normal price for a mint with 2 acs and very good with 15,000 acs. Sorry I asked. :exit::exit:

you can but from e-finity for £959 brand new
so your shop is not really a bargain !!

There are times when I wonder if I should bother asking anything. You get some great replies to a question that are really helpful and then others that make you feel you feel like an idiot. Can someone from admin please DELETE me please. Thanks.

Just asked if my account could be deleted. Problem solved.
Why do that Stephen, if omeone upsets you and you can't let it go just put them on Ignore!
There are all sorts of reasons why the camera with 2 clicks may be selling cheaper, as said a possible repair with a new shutter only the seller can tell you.

Or perhaps it's a typo in the ad.

Hey Stephen,

Ignore the keyboard warriors, just enjoy the great replies.

Dougie.

For the record d500 is the best camera I've ever used, and I've used a lot. If you can get one for a price you are happy with just do it.

Sometimes though it's impossible for a member to know the answers, and you'd be best to ask the seller rather than getting all sorts of guesses.
At least then you'd get a proper answer.
I dont think any of the responses you've had are a reason to delete your account.
I dont think you can actually delete your account though.

Worth mentioning that shuttercount does not normally reset when shutter is replaced. In my experience at least.

It’s quite likely to be brand new, maybe ex display but not demo.

yes Stephen you did... Hopefully after a bit of thought and sleeping on it, you've realised that it's really not worth throwing the good bits of this forum away just because of one or two daft replies.

Seriously mate - take some time to reconsider, and if you honestly still want to leave in a week or two's time, then give the staff another shout... but we MAY still try and talk you out of it ;)

If the forum is not the place for you at the moment, then instead of deleting your account, just don't log in. That's what I would do, because this forum is a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure you've had good advice in the past :)
