D40 discontinued?

Just had a look at the Nikon UK website looking for more details on the new D5000, and the D40 has disappeared from list of consumer DSLRs :shrug: anyone know any more about this?

EDIT: The D40 has indeed been discontinued, and is now appearing on the discontinued list along with the D200, D80 and all that lot!

Think production stopped back in January.

Blimey, it's only been removed within the last month or so, maybe with the D5000 being announced.

I was close to buying 1 bout a month ago. Wondered why they were going so cheap.

Honestly, prices *could* go up for used ones being such a desirable little camera.

Don't care, I'm after a used D200 now A cracking camera it is, and I'll be keeping it as a second body hopefully.
