Get a Sony A900, Zeiss 24-70 and Zeiss 16-35.

I did, and still had £2k left over from the saving over the D3X

I'm not discounting how good your camera is, or dissing SONY as a brand, but my investment in Nikon Glass has more or less tied me in....

You've obviously never had an official "refurbished" Nikon, judging by the last two I bought all they do is take the returns and send them straight back out again without any checks or tests.

The cameras are now refurbished by JP Solutions (part of Johnsons Photopia) not Nikon and it shows.
