Can anyone tell me if a genuine battery grip is available for the D3300 as I can't seem to find one.

Genine grips are very overpriced, IMO, and resale value is also very limited.

I'd go for a 3rd party if I were you, something like this linky

It seems that Nikon don't do a grip for the D3300 ( they don't bother for the budget camera), so it will have to be a third party manufacturer.
 
I think Steve is right re genuine grips for D3300. I have used both Meike and DSTE battery grips (not for a D3300 though) and I've been very happy with the quality, however the Meike one the command dials operation was reversed which was slighty annoying but I rarely changed apperature or shutter in the vertical position.
