D300s under £1k delivered

4550 people cant lie. :) Seems pretty safe.

I nearly bought one from that seller. IIRC it was 965 four weeks ago.

There is some slightly worrying feedback in their profile regarding VAT. Some buyers were also concerned that the boxes were opened so may be returned items.

These are a very small minority of buyers though! As you can clearly see, the vast majority of people seem very happy.

Thats a really good price. If its not Nikon UK you wont get the 2 Year Nikon Warranty though.

so nikon d300s's are getting cheaper and it looks like the d700 is about to be discontinued, could be some interesting stuff coming from the Nikon camp soon then

There is quite a high proportion of recent feedback for cameras that would point to them not being Nikon UK supplied (UK stock just means the camera is in the UK)

I would ask the the seller for their business name, then ask Nikon UK if they are an authorised dealer - if they are not, they will be problems with warranty service from Nikon UK.

There's a seller on an auction site selling for £1003 all in. Says they are UK version and have 2 year warranty. What's the catch?

People do tell porkies!!! In my experience, if it seems too good to be true it probably is! £100 less than the best price? Either they are making next to no profit or they are 'iffy'.

Appreciate your points, but the ad says 'UK version' it implies not grey stock.I know it is only words, but from what I have been led to believe,it is legally binding,in that if you were to order one and find out it is a grey import you could technically get your monies back as you have been miss-sold,now whether Amazon would stump up your toot is another question.:rules:

why not give them a call... That way you can put your mind at rest..

Excellent idea I thought but I could'nt find a number to ring just an email and to be honest I could'nt be arsed to write an email and wait for a reply, after all I had the cash burning a hole in my wallet. After thinking about it and reading the cons about buying from the net I decided to buy locally and ended up getting a D90 and Siggy 150-500 (both for £1310 (and £60 cash back), a bargain I thought) from Cameraland in Cardiff and I have to be honest they were extremely helpful and were the only independent dealer to beat the best quoted price I gave them.:clap:
