D300 Wireless Solutions Needed

Looking for D300 wireless solutions without using the WT4 which is expensive, does anyone know a cheaper way.

At present I am using a 6ft USB cable.

Any help appreciated.

Don't know if this will help, i bought a jjc wr-100 wireless controller from www.thewildlifestudio.com for £40ish. It fits into the 10 pin socket on the front of my D300 and works up to 100m away. Comes with a charger for the Li-on battery.:shrug:

I think the OP means a transmitter to send files to the computer, rather than to fire the camera

I haven't come across a solution apart from the WT-4 tbh, I'd be interested to see if there's another solution

Your best bet would be a USB/Wireless converter at both ends but I'm not fully up on which models are best to work with.

Yeah sorry should of been clearer, its a wireless solution to transfer files from my camera to the PC.
