D300 Shutter Actuations

Help Folks,
I am trying to find out how many actuations my D300 has. I have tried downloading software that you can use but I cannot make sense of it. Can anyone recommend a programme and talk me through it, basically I need an idiots guide.

If you install Opanda, you can right click on a jpeg within Windows Explorer (doesn't appear to work for RAW) and there should be an option 'View Exif/GPS/IPTC with IExif'.

Select that to open the Opanda window and there should be a field near the bottom 'Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera'.
 
far better tha opanda is Kuso exif viewer you can find it on google. Download the program and then to use it by right click over photo and the dropdown list will have Kuso on it. Click on this and tick the box at the top and you will have everything including camera serial number. don't edit photo first.

That's a lot of info! It's getting late - which one is the shutter actuations?
 
In photoshop:
File > File Info...
Advanced > ../exif/1.0/aux > ImageNumber
 
I highlighted in red " shutter count ". The 12717 is the shutter actuations on my camera for that photo

Has far more info than other exif viewers, well you did ask :bang::bang::bang:

Downloaded Kuso last night, 5 minutes later I had a shutter count os 5671.
Fast, simple with loads of additional information, thanks Bazza.
