Hi!
So, after my second shoot with rugby yesterday ive noticed that a large amount of the pictures taken are out of focus.
What settings do you guys use for your focus, maybe my success rate is normal, but unless i ask i dont know
It was nice and sunny yesterday so i stopped down to around f4 which i got a much better picture and higher successful focus rate, however i can imagine when its a little more overcast i will need to be shooting wide open at 2.8 which i only got a handfull of good shots at.
when shooting at 2.8 i found a lot of the pictures were very "soft" and slightly out of focus.
I was mainly using center weighted and put it down to 9? focus points, i think. (the lowest amount of points) is this a good mode to use for sports?
Last week i was using more focus points, but found that a lot of the shots were being focused in on the crowd on the other side of the pitch rather than the players, lowering the focus points seemed to remedy this much better.
anyway ill stop rambling as i think i could have made my point in 1 sentence of..... what focus settings do you find best for rugby/fast paced sport.
there we have it
