I've got my Nikon D300 Manual and Darrell Young's book "Mastering The Nikon D300", but I still can't find out how to switch on (and leave on) auto-bracketing!

I can assign the function to the FUNC button at the front of the camera, but I have to hold it while I'm taking every shot which kinda bugs me. I just want to be able to switch 1/3 Auto-Bracketing on, go shooting and then turn it off when I'm done with it.

Anyone know how??

TIA

Tom.

Press bracket on the top left side & hold down. Use the two wheels on the right side to set the bracketing settings that you want and then release the bracket button. Job done.

Just don't forget to unset the bracketing when you have finished.

Hope that helps.

Chris :)

Whoops. That is on my D3:cuckoo: Numptyitis setting in again.

I've just got a D300 and wanted to try HDR so I used Custom Setting/Controls/Assign Func Button/Func Button and Dials to set bracketing. When I walt it I just use the rear selector for frames and the front for stops (5 frames at 1 stop for HDR)

With mode set to aperture priority and motor drive to CH I get all my shots within a second with one press of the shutter.

You had me going for a minute there Chris :D
