Went to my local 2nd hand camera shop today, just to have a look in the window. Then in the window was a mint D3 for £1,100!!! :|:|
I carried on looking and then saw a 70-200mm for £899 and the new 14-24mm for £699!!!

I was shocked to say the least!

Why would someone sell this already 2nd hand if they have only just come out. I must say if anyone buys this stuff they would have such a great deal
 
Hmmmm.....at £1100 the shop would have had to buy it in at, what, say, £500? :thinking:

On Fleabay that would sell for an easy £2000, so either it's stolen, broken,or not a D3

On the other hand it may genuinely be the bargain of the century, in which case break out the credit card and get it bought, pronto ;)

Sure it wasn't one of the D2 variants? Sounds about right for something like a D2Hs in a shop...
 
Jeez don't let Gary see this or there will be a little orange Lotus doing a warp speed in a southerly direction! :)

Probably cheaper to buy another new D3 than drive down to get that one, given the price of petrol :lol:
 
give em a ring, if they can sell a D3 for £1100, im sure they could do delivery for a fiver......

I want to buy it. I dont have a grand but I do have a credit card and am a bit of an idiot so qualify for this deal perfectly.
 
cherryrig if it's a D3 then let me know what the shop is, I'll call them and buy it over the phone. Then I can get rid of the D300 :lol:
 
C'mon chaps, where's your ingenuity? There are only two camera shops in cherryrig's home town ... it can't be that hard ...
 
Well I tried the two listed camera shops, by phone, and guess what ?

For some reason, as I read that, I imagined Gary turning into an orange lotus flower and flying south...... :help:
