D2H FOCUS SCREEN REMOVAL

Hello folks

Mate of mine got himself a very nice D2H this morning but the focus screen is very dirty.

Anybody knowledgeable in how to remove said screen?

My old film Nikon I had other screens and they had a special set of tweezers to release and remove the screen without touching it.

I used a small flat screwdriver on my D80 and D300 to unhinge a small retaining catch - there was a notch which gives away where it is but working out which direction to move it once its pressed down can be tricky. simple when you know, but working it out is a nightmare...

word of warning though, its *really* hard to clean up a dirty screen and very easy to get dust gremlins in. make sure to do it in a dust free environment and handle the focus screen as little as possible (using clean twezer with no sharp edges)... I've refitted a single screen about 15 times trying to make every last spot of dust out. by the end it was a 2 minute job though
