my D80 is at the menders, 3weeks maybe!!!. im going to get a D200 tomorow will i notice a great difrence between the two ,and ive heard that the sigma 10-20mm has a slight problem with the D200. any advice appreceated.
just got it home , had to use a forklift to get it through the door, its a bit on the weighty side, tried the sigma no problems that i can see looking forward to getting out tommorow .
Magnesium body does weigh more than a plastic body Anton.

I can very much vouch for the fact there is a significant weight difference between a 70/80 style body and a 200 - I have both, and its very noticable!
Totally different beasts too as has already been said, but both have their place....for me the 70s stil wins when in use with 70-300, mainly because I can still hand hold it![]()

Fair enough but the issue here is one of weight and my opinion is that, by the time you have a lens, grip, spare battery and flash on, any weight difference becomes academic and negligible...
Maybe I should buy a D80...SD cards must weigh less...:bonk:

I've not had any problems with the sigma on my d200 and I use it every day. If anything, it's actually better than on my old d70 (nah, I can't work it out either)
4 extra metal pixies makes all the difference to resolution!
