Thanks Mark ... yes it's a Citroen isn't it, I'd not thought of that.Really like that David lovely colours.
I do find it funny that Jamie's Italian has a French van outside and a decoration!
Cheers Allan ... it's supported underneath, to take the weight off the tyres (?) I guess. Ice cream is sold to restaurant customers from the back, and I'm sure the side opens too, tho I've never seen it.Well spotted, is it never used, very strange
Thanks StanVery colourful and I like the inclusion of the sign.
You've taught me well DKHahaaaaa yes a great spot, glad you thought of the composition too rather than just of the van, real nice colours on this image, and a great looking van too![]()
That really is an excellent shot David. I like your crop of choice. Composition that leaves room for the van to move into, even though static, is spot on - just would not have looked as good without that space.

Thanks. They are nice tongs aren't they! I took a lot of shots where passing people got in the way and/or hung around acting undecided about accepting a free sample, or with him looking the wrong way, then I was pleased to capture both gloved hands and nice tongs. Its very posh there, someone will buy one, someone posh. He has a very nice pair of tongs.
Thanks .... a bit shoehorny I know. I'm expecting the plebs amongst us to imagine wild this and wild that is all Game for the hunting shooting fishing set.Took me a while to get it but great idea and well spotted.
Perhaps its cheaper without the tomato sauce.Look at those prices! ( I bet thats not the continental "1" either)
Well spotted David, a nice take on the theme![]()

Thanks DK ... yes he's doing his stuffLiking this David, would of been tempted to clone out the hot sign, other than that picky though I likle all the other elements, people in the background, the faded lights and the guy doing his stuff too, nice composition with the level timber across the bottom, like it![]()
Thanks Allan ... I'll def be back for more photos and more free samples.Very good, nicely composed, will you be going back for more ?
All the way to the bank.'Game' for a laugh at those prices !
Thanks Tim ... Re Static ... I'm guessing it's on bricks or something to take the weight off the tyres, and there's some black painted board to leave everything looking tidy.Static - I want to know what that is under the van. Some kind of plinth?
Game - Nicely done. I might have edited out the "Caution Hot" sign as it is a bright point in the image which draws your attention though.
@chrispp, you evidently don't have to buy lunch in London if you think thouse prices steep!
.... did they really eat protected species? ... that hair cut! did that come before or after the mullet? etc. Thanks Jill.Brrnd calls it Environmental portrait I call it Social Commentary. One of those pictures that in 20 years time people will be saying 'blimey, only seven quid for a burger!'
Patience well rewarded![]()
Thank you Steve ... self crit: I focused on the food labels at f/1.8 and later realised the man could be in better focus, so I'll maybe close aperture down a little in future.Love this shot, great capture and nicely done with the DOF keeping everything important sharp making a lovely background out of what could have been very distracting. Borough market is a great place to go for a wander, just have to limit how much I spend.
She is just starting to "rise" that's whyslight shame you lost the top of her head
Wrong Choice.....Re the hot sign I did think about desaturating that to make it less prominent but finally decided no.
