weekly d00d's 52 in 2016 ... week 52 celebration

Now that is as clean and crisp an image as you would want. Nicely chosen for the theme, composition is excellent with t he placement of the hat and the fall-off in DoF is spot-on. Well executed David. (y)

David, this photo leads my imagination. The thought of watching a cricket match and enjoying it so much forgetting the hat

That's nice David, good placement and a nice hat prop too, a real good background too, good fresh colours and good detail on the black railings still, like it (y)
Thanks guys ... it's what I wanted, more or less, but wasn't quite sure if it could be improved upon slightly by reshooting with a different lens (35mm f/1.8) which I didn't have on me at the time. So a slight PABD element as rain came. :)

Thanks Chris for the imaginings ... I like (y) ... but it's my wife's hat left (for artistic purposes) on the fence of the dog exercise area. :D

Hi David really like that the leading lines really work the bright hat really stands out form the fence lovely DOF

As others have said above, nicely done, the hat makes a great prop, it stands out well and begs for a story.

Entrance - I quite like the reflections in the glass and am glad to see it in colour
Size - that is certainly an image with wow factor and the man gives you a sense of scale.
Forgotten - It may be your own prop but it does give the feeling that there should be a story behind it.

"Where ever I lay my hat" Eh, David? :D

Nice and simple, and perfect for the theme.

Nice simple shot there @d00d, good use of a diagonal lead in too.
It doesn't jump out at you though. Perhaps a brighter coloured hat (red of deep orange would have been a more complementary colour perhaps) or maybe an abandoned pair of frillies ;)

Hi David

Size - great spot, perfectly on theme and well taken. Nice job.
Forgotten - well put together and a nice simple shot executed smartly. Maybe a squeeze more exposure?
I like this a lot - simple and effective...then you go and ruin all our story imaginings by confessing its a prop  Nice hat Mrs d00d :)

Nice looking stones David - at first glance they formed the figure "100" and I'm not entirely dissuaded from thinking that second time around. Beautiful colours and textures and intriguing history with those stripes but moreso the circle. Well chosen.

Nice stone collection and the basket adds texture which I like.

@Carl Ayling My guess is that the circle is just a thin flat vein of the white mineral (quartz?) running right through the stone but because the stone is dome shaped it appears as a circle

David, my favourite of the stones so far. Really like the basket weave, the three different stones each with their own appeal

Interesting choice of stones David, they compliment each other very nicely :)

interesting stone collection there, interesting choice of BG

... and rounded like that after centuries/millennia of being washed up on the beach. I've picked up stones of all sorts over the years because they'd looked interesting and this challenge makes them more interesting than ever before. Cheers guys.

why thank you Chris. :D yes they look related yet so different.

Lovely detail there David, liking how you have displayed them too, that middle stone has a very nice/odd square feature ??
Cheers DK ... yes it seems to be a stone embedded within a stone. o_O:D

That's a great image David love the way the stones fan out following the lines of the wickerwork they are on. Theres some lovely detail in the stones too.

Stone - great picture the 3 stones are similar but different and the basket weave background compliments them well I really like it

Yes, I really like that David. The basket weave and tone of the stones work well together. Would look great printed and hung!

I love the way you've presented these on the wicker work - it sets the stones off so well. There is fascinating detail all of them and the overall tones of the picture are very soothing.
Glad someone else brings stones back in their luggage ....a really nice choice d00d ...fascinating things ....stones, thousands of years history in there.

Thanks all so much. (y)

Nice colours, nice textures and nicely laid out David.
Although as Andy said, elsewhere, sometimes the simple things take a lot of preparation.

BTW, only an eye of newt is needed for a potion, not the whole thing :D

Stone - nice choice of stones and works well with the background.

Simple - Great selection of herbs/spices which works well on the bright red (chopping board?). Interesting choice to add the lizard.

:D had to smile at that.

I'm not sure about this one d00d :(...well, not for Simple anyway.....maybe in little piles out of the dishes on the beautiful red surface, just too cluttered for me ...less is more or sumthin' like that  sorry.

Thanks for your comments guys. (y) You should see my complicated recipes. :D

This started life as a simple idea, but I guess I got a bit carried away, or was I being ironic without knowing it! :cautious:

But hey what else is one supposed to do on a wet Sunday morn?

looks like the makings of an interesting concoction the background colour suits it and it would be better with out the lizard but I am not sure it fits the theme
