Yeah, some of the shots then/now are remarkable :) The Huffington Post ones were OK but I like the interactive facility here. I didn't much care for a shot in Huffington where they'd got one of a dead German soldier in the road and a modern day family walking past, rather bad taste I thought!

I would say its a hard one,it does show the price paid in war,and quite often the ground we walk over with our children has been paid for in blood.

True, there's another side to the story. The image in question certainly makes a strong statement. I've got nothing against making a composite picture like that so long as it's not done in a gratuitous way. I still don't like the image tho'.
