Hi everyone, we will be going to cyprus (ayia napa) on the 12 th july, and with me being new to photography i was wondering is there any particular subject i should be concentrating on?. things like, people, street, landscapes etc, i know its not an easy question because i suppose that whatever i take a pic of will be personal preference. I suppose i am looking for any tips?, for a newcomer i.e:- landscapes, dontmove, easier to focus on, can use a tripod etc, any thing to point me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

just take pictures of what your interested in and try different settings to learn how to use your camera, by the end of your holiday you'll have some nice pictures and a better understanding of your camera.

use your apature and shutter modes. you have plenty of time till you go to use these settings and your camera.

have fun

Hi, the place around Ayia Napa monastery is lovely. the monastery is set slightly off a main tourist road, and is a lovely location. I think once you arrive over there you'll find loads of inspiration as Cyprus is a gorgeous island, with lots of photographing subjects!

you should try getting up into the trodos mountains for the day. amazing scenery
