My daughter gave us the news last night she is going to Kyrinia in Cyprus for a year..possibly longer,she has been studying equine sports therapy here for three years,has only one year left to do but has lost the spark at the moment :| to carry on and needs a break from it..
Hopefully she will come back and resume her studies after this break.. her friend,who she is going with has relatives there so they have accomodation and a job in a bar!..:beer:ya know what these students are like..hic!

Was wondering if anyone here was familiar with this place (Kyrinia)..
My little girl (she's 21 by the way:lol:) is all grown up and leavin town..:'(
 
Cyprus will be a beautiful place to go to work - good luck to her! You should book in and see her, my parents have just come back from a holiday there and had a superb time...
 
Can't help but think that, so long as the spark only relates to her studies, horse-related work would look and be a much better option.

Then again, she should have 40 odd years to find out what she wants to do...
 
i think that is northern cyprus so turkish cypriots
went over the border once to famagusta but all the trips i have had have been to pafos protaras and aiya nappa
its a lovely place with some really nice people i would like to think she will be fine there
 
It's your lucky day... I am from North Cyprus :D Hopefully I can answer any questions you have...

you probably read some about the city already but... it is located on the north coast in the Turkish Side... Most tourists come to stay here as well as the foreigners who decide to buy property usually do so in Kyrenia or surrounding towns... I'd say it's the best city to live in north cyprus...It's a pretty safe place... Don't be put off by the "occupied area" title as some might refer to North Cyprus. It's not like that at all. It's a proper country. Just not a formally recognized one unfortunately...

It's a beautiful place and will be even better as the summer is approaching... Lots of photo opportunities if you visit her :D
