the town n country seem the best for me Russ cheers for that

Your welcome must admit i thought, those ones would be for you, but they werent around when i was riding moutain bikes.

I can vouch for that site though, normally about as cheap as any, but always worth googling, but i have never had any issues ordering and if they say next day delevery its there the next day.

Are you getting a proper fitting on the bike? and a nice little test ride. This is just a personal thing here but if you end up boarding 2 sizes, the smaller is usually easier to handle.

I hope it helps the bug hit you, it can be very rewarding, the adreline rush canbe huge if you ever start doing fast downhill's or drop of's.

erm forget downhill stuff........I am nearly 50 so a nice relaxed ride through the woods is in order ..........at 20mph lol.once Im fit enough........whats a drop of as I normally leave Tiger at asda thats my drop off:lol::lol::lol:

looks like a nice bike for the money dangermouse, i have the coil sprung version of the tora forks(with the added benefit of the Uturn and poplock remote) and im very happy with them, although i guess for commuting you'll be locking them out to save energy!

Does the scheme cover all the other stuff you're likely to need e.g. clothing, shoes, lock, panniers & rack(s), CTC or other membership (for the insurance), spares etc?

Bit late for the OP but yes you can buy a lock, helmet, clothing and accessories upto the value of the voucher.

Final payment is at discretion of the employer and is usually 5% of fair market value at the time of the end of the agreement. This final payment amount can't be agreed in advance either as that apparently changes the type of benefit.

Used the scheme to buy a Specialized Rockhopper Expert recently, though I'll cycle to work on it occasionally it's more likely I'll be on the road bike my employer bought me the year before as a bonus.
