Yep, you have 1 week to get your best shot in, what is there on closing is what will be judged, (remember though, no popping back on Wed for a better shot, I will be checking ;)) :D
 
What are you trying to insinuate, I'm way to honest for that and all EXIF will be there to prove it :razz::nono:
 
Yvonne - I had the same reaction when I quickly scanned my images in the camera's lcd display - Urgh. But when I actually viewed them on my computer I had to take back all my initial impressions; they were a lot better than I had thought! I'm like you, I almost never shoot in aperture mode (landscapes in full manual mode is my cup of tea); I find that AP takes me a lot of getting used to.

Yvonne, AV does take some getting use to, but when you do it is worth it, full control over the BG and the Depth Of Field for Zoo work is ideal, helps to hide where they are taken, get one entered, you never know.

Oh, and its not just those Lemurs, when the Pallas talks, it is a code we sorted, he is telling me all I need to know :nuts: :lol: :naughty:

Agree, the LCD is not the best on any camera for actually seeing the true shot, always need to be viewed on a PC/Mac, the LCD is mainly an aid to make sure the composition is right, and a rough idea on exposure, though for that I tend to use the Histogram.
 
ah ha thought there was something happening with the pallas - i could see the winking

tbh i'll probably go back to my manual mode - prefer the control with that i think - though it takes me a tad longer to get a shot I feel more in control.

I wondered why you were fiddling with me cam'ra,
Now I know why

1) all the best shots were deleted :bat:
2) "someone" put my cam'ra in AV mode
2b) so all the other shots I took turned out crap!
Sabotage! :razz: :D

Not at all, nothing deleted except the one I took :D and if you remember correctly I did say I have played with the setting's and you would need to put them back :naughty:

Of course, this wont be judged by a poll so comments are fine, obviously I wont be making any comments as I am one of the judges, so would not be fair :D

Ok I do like your picture Ryan but feel it is spoiled by the shadow of the wire, annoying and not much you can do about it sadly

I'm trying to decide between 9 shots atm lol, wonder if i could post one a day and await feedback lmao :D :D :D

Just to let you know that I have now trained the Kites, they feed off the table in the garden it is awesome but I think that you would need a video instead of a camera as these guys are fast !!!

Will have to get over at some point to see the new trick, and remember the 7D does have Hi Def Video on it ;)

As a TP Meet first timer, thanks to you all for the warm welcome and guidance

Had a fantastic day even though it was rather on the warm side on sunday

Will go through my pics by the weekend and enter something at least.

Dinorock, I won't laugh, you did damn well to keep the detail in the black and not blow the highlights in Sunday's harsh light, personally I usually manage to get one of them wrong :)
