The TP52 - 2026 Cuthbert's 52 for 2026

Super shot that Mark, three bold colours and bold shapes.

Thank you again everyone! - this was a chair in a dimly lit chapel and the light from outside, although overcast, was just catching on that one chair and it kind of just popped and caught my eye.

Week 5 Rainy Day

Just one this week, not exactly what I wanted to capture but unfortunately weather not playing ball again!

Thank you again everyone, the rain shot was actually done on a piece of backdrop i sprayed and bent it around and shot a gobo lit over it, a bit hacky cos i just could get out. Roll on March!!

Interesting composition. Had to watch the angles :naughty:

Ha, ha...makes the viewer think about what your intent here was in relation to the challenge...love it (also made me think about what I would use the rattan fans for...)

Lovely shades of brown there Mark.

Thank you everyone!

There is no big statement or deep meaning in a lot of my photography, but hopefully you can see a common thread which runs through it is that we live in a world that somehow seems to have peaked - like the best times have passed.

I also liked that fact that where that photo was taken almost makes no sense, like where even is this horrible place lol

Very glad you chose the tree shot, much stronger. I think you could have gone for a more unconventional crop, but that's just me.

That’s very nice *;)

Both are good, but I am drawn towards the swan. I like the simplicity.

Two awesome shots Mark. I really like both of them.

Those trees are magic, calming lines and screaming confusion, awesome shot.

Thank you everyone for your kind words as always. The light wasn't ideal in both, and I'd have preferred it if the swan's tail wasn't intersecting the cloud but unfortunately, the there were quite a few other people around taking photos of the bird and it was quite erratic

Week 8 - Vintage Objects

Just one this week for Vintage Objects

That's a lovely still life. Carefully arranged and lit. The envelopes are a lovely touch - I might be reading too much into it, but the absence of stamps suggest that they are to be hand delivered, perhaps even collected by the recipients? Setting his or her affairs in order?

Nice scene well captured

That really is quite lovely :)

Really enjoying both the trees shot for reflections in water and the vintage one. The tree one creates a nice mystery where I'm trying to work out exactly what's going on. The desaturated look (I think it has a little colour in the grass?) works great to emphasize this.

Week 9 - Time

Dead End by Sparkling Pictures, on Flickr

These might look a bit familiar but, as you'll note I'm getting behind due to horrible weather here over the last few weekends and getting home very late, hopefully should be getting bit better as we move into spring.

That's a good spot!

I like the tones, it has quite a vintage feel.
