Nieces boyfriend asked me to photograph one of his mastiffs (Suzy) for a web site he is going to set up, here`s some of the results.
Personally i think we will do better finding somewhere with a bit better background and preferably a field thats not the same colour as the dog, any suggestions or tips gratefully accepted.

Obviously spoilt by the background Pete.

Would make a nice shot with the correct surroundings mate.

Try fill the frame a little more too.

... and open out that aperture - set to as wide as it will go (lowest "f" number), set it to Av, aperture priority mode and off you go - lower the ISO to whatever gives you a shutter speed around 1/500th maybe but that is not so critical.
