Currys Customer Service Rant (on behalf of the father in law)

Funnily enough, the only place I've had really bad service in the recent past is at John Lewis, I bought an iPad Air, it had the quite well known memory bug causing a number of websites to crash the iPad, when I took it back he was incredibly condescending, firstly claiming it couldn't do what I was suggesting (yes, call me a liar Mr Salesman) and when I demonstrated the fault he told me the answer was not to visit those websites!

It took some raised voices and demand for the manager (he claimed to be the section supervisor when I asked for his supervisor) to resolve the issue.
I got a refund as I didn't want to deal with them any further and bought a replacement elsewhere.

Just a quick update guys, Father in law sent the email to the director on Saturday afternoon, they rang him yesterday to bring the TV in and it would be replaced immediately! It looks like it took some instruction from someone at the top to kick the stores' ass back into order :)

New TV will be collected this morning, here's hoping it's another set that won't defect!

Good news! Sometimes all it takes is a polite but firm email to show you won't be fobbed off with poor service.
